We had the privilege of taking portraits for a great organization called NetKAL (Network of Korean-American Leaders) last weekend at their seminar in DC. Photos are below (click on the thumbnails for a bigger photo!), but more importantly, I wanted to share the mission of this awesome org.
The NetKAL Program is organized by the Center for Asian-Pacific Leadership at the University of Southern California. The Center for Asian-Pacific Leadership promotes innovative education and training for Asian and Asian-American leadership focusing on challenges facing the Pacific Rim’s future and preparing emerging leaders for global transformation. The Center's activities align closely with the USC School of Social Work's mission to strengthen communities by fostering strong leadership through our training, cross-disciplinary networking, and research programs.
The list of the fellows were so incredibly impressive - from CEO's to art directors to top government officials - from California to New York and DC. As I spoke to some of them while taking their portraits, they were having an amazing time at their leadership seminar. One called it "eye-opening" and encouraged me to apply next year. Being reminded of the list of accomplishments these men & women had, I shook my head & said maybe in 5 years. But hey -- you amazing Asian-Americans out there, I encourage you to apply. :) Check out their website at: www.netkal.org
A wonderful thanks to NetKAL for being so warm & open and even filling my stomach with good food!
