Last Friday and Saturday, Thomas and I flew over to Denver, Colorado on a two day trip to shoot Jeong and Andrew's wedding. From the airport, we drove an hour and a half to reach Colorado Springs, but the place was well worth the time. The place was beautiful, I especially loved the mountains in the background and the blue sky. On Friday we went to St. Mary's Cathedral for the rehearsal and (delicious!) rehearsal dinner. The wedding took place 10:00am on Saturday and we loved how tranquil and scenic everything was - we even had lunch in a place called the Garden of God.

I had met Jeong one time when she came to DC, so when we arrived in Colorado Springs, we weren't expecting anything different in their appearance. When we were in the parking lot, I was greeted by this beautiful woman and I greeted her back thinking, 'Wow, this woman might be prettier than the bride tomorrow.' I had made a very embarrassing mistake because I later found out that the woman who had greeted me was Jeong, the bride of the wedding! During our short meeting in DC, the couple had been wearing casual clothes, Jeong wore glasses and had a different hairstyle. I was so surprised when I saw her, she made a gorgeous bride!

Though the outside scenery was great, I encountered a problem when I went to take shots of the groom. Thomas and I split up, he went to go take pictures of the bride getting ready while I drove over to the groom at a huge golf course. To my dismay when I arrived, I saw that Andrew was already practically done getting ready. I had hoped to get some great shots of him getting suited up, but I had missed the opportunity. I even contemplated asking him to take off the tux and start over so that I could get those shots I had missed! But since natural and candid shots are always the best anyway, I let him keep the tux on.

The rehearsal and wedding were both beautiful and we were so glad to be there to take pictures of Jeong and Andrew. Jeong was even kind enough to invite us over to her home for dinner which was great. We hope you guys enjoy a sneak peek at the pictures, more to come soon.
